Student Leadership
At Coombe Wood School, we believe students should be encouraged to take on responsibilities that allow them to play an active role within the school and local community. Students appointed to Student Leadership roles have the chance to build their confidence and leadership skills, learn to work as a team, and think creatively.
Currently, Coombe Wood School offers two types of Student Leadership roles:
School Council: Responsibilities include fundraising for our chosen charity (Lives without Knives), organising school rewards, performing gate duty, and conducting action research to improve student experiences.
Youth Travel Ambassadors: Responsibilities include promoting safer travel and collaborating with TfL on an anti-idling campaign. We have recently been awarded Silver accreditation for our work on the TfL Stars scheme.
As our school grows, more students who exemplify our core values will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles.
